"Get your authentic coffee fix here at Ah Cacao. They serve the usual lattes, espressos and my favorite, an espresso macchiato. Great mexican chocolate, brownies to die for and 2 locations on 5th. Stay away from evil Starbucks and support a local cafe!"
"We've been to two locations in Playa, first discovered last winter and had to go back a few times this winter. Both locations we went to have nice music playing and a few comfy places to sit while enjoying a great chocolate drink - hot chocolate, mocha, or mayan hot chocolate are all great in my opinion. If you like rich chocolate and spice I recommend the mayan hot chocolate for a special treat that you can't find at home (at least I can't). Not everyone likes it, but I think it's fantastic. I can go to Starbucks anytime, so when we're in Playa this is where we go. Also a good place to pick up some vanilla to bring home."

"The Brownies are the best we've ever had. The lattes were also very good, complete with latte art that stayed to the last drop. After finding this place we went back every night for a latte and dessert. When we walked by Starbucks I felt sorry for their patrons, they were missing out!"
"This place is amazing! My friends and I loved it so much that we were there nearly every day of our week long vacation. The drinks are just delicious, as well as the desserts! Yum! We were in heaven. We LOVED the chocolate mousse, chocolate and coconut ice cream (yuuuuuummmmm) all of the frappes and the hot chocolate tasted great with a pretty design in the foam to top it off. The chocolate cake was pretty good, but I loved the mousse and ice cream more. I also had a chocolate croissant pastry a few morning that was verrry tasty. My husband is a chocolate lover and he was quite pleased as well with all of the chocolate delights. And everything was more affordable than coffee shops such as Starbucks. What more can I say, I was in love with this place. I think the workers thought we were stalking them, we were in there so often! I hope they do great and expand and bring a location to my city in CT!"

"My sister and I visited the Ah Cacao in Playa and got iced lattes. This is a staple item for me here in the states and get from either Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks but this place blew them away!! No bitterness, smooth texture...awesome! We each took a bag of Molido Espresso home for our espresso machines. I'm totally addicted! The ground beans are so fine that it puts American espressos to shame... I don't know how I'll go back to American espressos and lattes...I definitely recommend visiting this place if you are a chocolate or coffee lover!!"

"Ah Cacao is great. I'm from Montreal and we have a ton of great chocolatiers here yet Ah Cacao really impressed me for the purity of the taste and the richness of the chocolate. I had some last night. We brought a few bars home. The black chocolate is a big cut above the milk one and I was equally surprised with the white chocolate which I usually find too sweet. This one was nice and tasty while more fruity than sweet."

"We ordered brownies from Ah Cacao as our wedding favors. I had read fabulous reviews of this place on Trip Advisor and everyone raved about their brownies. I ordered some of their chocolates to sample to see if I wanted to get chocolates or brownies, but they don’t mail-order the brownies. The chocolates were okay, so I decided to go with all the rave reviews and get the brownies, although I was a little nervous whether or not they’d meet my standards. They were really, really good – everyone loved them and they came individually wrapped with a tag that told about the history of chocolate being discovered in Mexico. It was perfect and just what I wanted – an authentic Mexican favor! I ordered them online about a week in advance, and they were all ready for us when we got there. They were very reasonably priced"

My friend makes yummy chocolate truffles with the chocolate we get there,so its always a stop on our trip. They have the bottled vanilla and also the bean. "We took a long stroll up Quinta Avenida that night, and found a chocoholic's delight at the end of our walk at the intersection with Constituyentes. Ah Cacao sells real chocolate products that emphasize the complex and long lasting flavor of chocolate over the sugar buzz. As someone who has always preferred dark chocolate to milk chocolate, I had found my inner chocoholic's heaven. I ordered a chocolate frio, which is powdered natural chocolate blended with iced milk. It had the consistency of a Frappuccino and the taste of a sugar-less/low-sugar milk shake. A $3 slice of my slightly bitter, rich, earthy, creamy chocolate paradise."
